Hello there lovely people. Felicity here today with a bright coloured layout using the April 2017 kit and a Project Life page with the March 2017 kit.
Lets be honest, I struggled a lot with this layout. No idea why, maybe its because it was the first page using the April kit, and a mix of overwhelming feelings with so much product to play with, ideas galore, that i seriously didn't want to know to do first and the pressure of a Design team member. (keeping real friends).
We all struggle at some point. The wheels fall off the wagon, you get dishearten and loose direction. Most of us, can enter in to that feeling of unworthiness and discontentment. But you know what, that's what scrapbooking is about. Releasing those negative feelings, refocusing on whats important in life and simply relaxing.
I pounded a lot on this layout, long before I turned the video camera on. I let go of all the 'pressure' I put on myself, it was all un-neccessary, blocked out the negative and let myself just create.
I found a lot of therapy with these beautiful crayons from Vicki Boutin and stickers in the colour kit. I applied some gesso to the page first and then just rub the crayon on and ended up using my finger, with a smidgen of water to move the crayon about. Because the pack of crayons comes with 'tones' of yellows and oranges, you don't have to think to much about what crayon to put next to what, they all mix nicely together because of the same tones.
My task for you today was creative journaling. Creative journaling is just that. Creative. No limitations. You can use a pen and write your journaling as a poem, quote, story or even a conversation dialogue. For me I want to challenge myself in creating journaling from all those beautiful Vicki Bution stickers in the colour kit. I even went a little creative with our I put them on the layout.
There were a lot of cute ephemera in the crate paper Oasis pack. Don't fooled by them, perhaps being a little travel dominate, you can use them as laying pieces and cut the floral's out and so forth, like I did.
I was admiring all the beautiful mustard tones in the papers, as well as on the embellishments from the Pink pasilee chipboard pieces and the pink fresh rubber stickers.
Remember, no limitations on how you journal or what you journal with.
I want you try and tell the story of your layout with the sticker sentiments in the kit. Its creative and whole heap of fun. Go on, challenge yourself this week.
Happy story telling friends!

Products used: Paste-eez - Tree hugger/ baby boy blue / peach fuzz
Coloringz - Oh say can U sea / Heidi ho blue
Hi there! I am sharing with you, a layout using some of new Paste-eez and coloringz from Shimmerz. I had a lot fun with this page.
First thing I did was use a stencil and a palette knife and scrap some paste-eez over the stencil. It didnt bother me that the colours touched other because these paste-eez blend so nicely together. I ended up with nice shades of green and blue and touch of the peach colour. So pretty together.
Then once they had dried, I fussy cut out the hearts. I applied some gesso to my page then used the coloringz to add some colour using some packaging.
I then adhere the hearts on top with some glue and the sewing machine.
I then build my page with lots of layers from varies embellishements.
I hope this inspires you today to use some stencils and paste-eez.

Orgainsation and making things beautiful are two things I love.
I find if I have everything written down, my thoughts, plans for the day, I can function a little better.
What I am finding a lot fun with is using 'recycled' materials in my planner. Not only does it help tell the story, but it gives this planner a lot of meaning.
Then I popped a 4 x 6 project life card on the pack. More prettiness uh?
I also like to adhere cards and things in my planner with some washi tape, which allows it be a flap for interaction.
I even popped in my full card from coffees at Maccas. Tee hee. I love keeping this bits and pieces, it adds so much meaning to my memory planner.
Have a lovely week! :)

Hello! I want to share with you a fun little Easter Mini Album I made for shimmerz. Each year, I tell myself that I will not to buy too many Easter Eggs, and of course the choccie eggs multiply very quickly!
I have always wanted to document our Easter at home. Now, its nothing fancy for us at home. But there are memories and things the kids will want to remember.
So I got myself I little orgainsed and created a Mini Album ready to just pop the photos in.
Pop over to the shimmerz blog to see the album made.

Just wanting to pop by with a project life page using the March 2017 Project life kit from Hip kits that I have shared over at the Hip Kit blog.
When there is a lot of colour in your photos and you don't want to change the photo to black and white, try and add some neutral colours to your page, like I have done with the White Project Life card.
This just 'tones' the page a little and not be so overwhelming.
How cute are the embellishments in the kit? Those Pink fresh puffy stickers and ephemera pack from Shimelle. They would suit any theme Project life themed page.

Hello. Felicity back here today with a fun interactive layout using the April 2017 kit. Tell me one thing you love about your layouts or other people layouts?
Is it creating texture on your pages?
Is it reaching out to the computer screen hoping you can just touch that layout? Tell me we have all done that!! LOL
Being able to tell a story with the papers that reflect your photo?
Is it that awesome feeling when you finish a page and think, WOW, I did that? I made that?
For me its a yes to all those questions. This page is no exception.
I wanted to create something interactive. I had the packaging laying on my table from the Dear Lizzy flags that come in the embellishment kit. It gave me the idea of creating a little flap over the photo to add a little interaction. I thought it would be fun, in the sense, when this page is in the 12 x 12 album that you come across this page and get to interact. Am I making sense?
So I started out with the Shimmerz Paste-eez and the stencil from the colour kit. I then started building up layers with my photo and lots of 3D foam dots to add dimension. I fussy cut more those adorable houses from Dear Lizzy paper add them in. I wanted this reflect the photo of being home and lazing about in bed.
Then I created my little flap. I kept the embellishments minimal because I wanted to see the photo peeking out. There are so many nice sentiments from Pink fresh in the project life kit, so I add those as part of my journalling on the page.
To adhere the flap I used 3D foam dot and an exclusive enamel dot to cover up the 3D foam dot.
Lastly I created small cluster at the bottom to make the layout flow and for balance.
